For the past 10 years I’ve followed some amazing bloggers and online marketers and learned a ton of valuable information about how to start an online business.
That’s great and all, but the real story is that for the past 10 years I’ve failed to launch my own blog and/or business online and my mental excuse is always, “I just want to get it right.”
Maybe you can relate. Maybe you’ve failed to launch the blog you think about every day just because you think you need to get it right.
Or, perhaps it’s not perfectionism that’s holding you back. Maybe, like me, you just turn to that excuse because you’re afraid to admit the truth. You’re really just procrastinating.
That’s where I’m at. Procrastination is my problem. It’s costing me millions. Millions of visitors, perhaps. Or maybe millions of dollars. Or just simply millions of hours of happiness that comes along with blogging and doing something you truly enjoy doing.
It doesn’t have to be perfect to be successful, or to be enjoyable. But it does have to start.
So that’s what I’m doing today. I’m starting. I’m no longer blaming perfectionism when I just don’t feel like writing today. I’m no longer blaming perfectionism when I’m just too busy and “can’t find the time”. I’m no longer blaming perfectionism when I watch TV instead of writing or working on my business.
Bigger than those, I’m no longer blaming the fact that I’m not good at this. This post isn’t well written. It’s not going to go viral. It’s simply me starting. And that makes it huge.
Maybe you can relate. If so, I’d love to hear from you and join you on your journey.
This thing called business and life is so much easier with other people. So let’s tackle it together.
